Did you know there is now a site called Tweexchange where you can literally buy Twitter usernames?

Tweexchange presents a forum for Twitter members to exchange or assume Twitter usernames from other existing members once they reach an agreement.

This is becoming a hot item just like domain names. What I don’t get is that it is violating twitter rules about selling free Twitter names.

I can not figure out why anyone would pay for something they can create themselves for free.

I also need to vent something here…. if you are online trying to make money or building a business online why on earth would you use a freaky name or quirky name? You really should be using your own name to create awareness and to brand yourself. Like “Opra” she didn’t create some fantasy name for herself, she used the name that she is known by (branded by).

Sorry to go on and on, but I just had to get that out of my system.
